The Duke House in Wellsville

Food is always delicious and the interior is beautifully done! Always enjoy any meal I've had here!

This summer I have taken all of my out of town visitors to the Duke House for a special meal and each visit has been a treat for all of us. The food is excellent, it is clearly made from quality ingredients and always well prepared. The service is great, and the restaurant itself is a visual pleasure. It is charming and pleasant and every detail has been thoughtfully considered. There is no place like this anywhere nearby and in an area with few options for a special meal, this is a great destination.

Eventhough I tried to get a job here and never got a call, the food here was AMAZING!!! I'd definitely recommend this place and would like to order from here again!! 😋😋😋 oh, not to mention VERY classy!! 😊

Hit or miss with thus place, sometimes it is fantastic other times not so much. Unpredictable service.

This restaurant was well above my expectations. First my 10 year old son has celiacs so we don't eat out often, it's so nice to find a place that makes sure everything is going to be right. He ordered the salmon and it was absolutely awesome, I'll never be able to compete with it at home. I had the Penne Marie and again it was wonderful. The service was great and the young lady, I wish I remembered her name, that waited on us was very attentive and made sure that everything was to our liking. I have to add that this is the kind of place that you want to dress up for, it truly makes the experience more enjoyable. We will definitely keep the Duke house on our list of celiac friendly restaurants.

My favorite restaurant in the world. Food is amazing thanks to Chef Reuben and Nancy's desserts are beyond delicious.

The food is okay, but the owner is extremely rude and slow. I waited for a half hour just for her to take my order because she was too busy talking badly about someone else’s mother to a customer that came in before me. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Nancy took our order on Easter Sunday 2 hours before closing when she didn’t have to because orders were supposed to be placed by the day prior. We had the Panko Scallops and Filet Mignon. Both were fantastic!

First time visiting this quaint restaurant. The food was delicious. We're already planning a return visit for tea service!

They made special accommodations for all my dietary restrictions and the staff was very friendly! Great gluten free pancakes!

We had a 6:30 reservation. We waited two hours for our meal. The chef made the wrong appitizer. The fourth meal was still raw, so I was left with no dinner. The owner never apologized. We were promised free dessert and a complimentary bottle of wine, for our inconvenience, which did not happen.The entire evening was a comedy of errors. We will not return for act two.

Lunch with several friends on a front porch with a view of the street. Delicious food with many choices. My dessert was the best scone I've ever eaten. Attentive service. We plan to go back some time.

Definitely highest-quality cuisine in the area. When weather permits, the patio seating is lovely. The duck is divine, as well as the fresh desserts. Be prepared for a wait...But the wait is worth it!

Big city dining experience at small-town prices. I came here last night with a friend and was completely blown away by the outstanding dining experience. We shared a bottle of wine and the hummus, and I had one of their nightly specials, seafood stuffed prawns. The portions were HUGE, the ingredients were fresh, and the service was on point. Can't wait to go back for lunch!

Absolutely loved the whole experience. From the delicious food to the cozy atmosphere, I had an amazing brunch. Would definitely recommend to any tea lover or if you looking for to sit an catch up with friends. Delicious food and great drinks have convinced me that I need to come back many more times!

This is a fabulous place. Everyone is very friendly and the food is absolutely delicious. If you are near Wellsville, NY. This is an absolute must!! You won't regret it.

The food was absolutely delicious. I am definitely going to come back. Was a little disappointed that some of the deserts they offered, they didn't have. Hopefully, they will have the desert I want when I come back. Other than that, everything was fancy and my significant other felt out of place because it was so fancy... Lol!

Really quaint place in Wellsville for tea, coffees, homemade pastries with a full menu and beers! The pastries are amazing!

On our way to Canada, we stopped for lunch at the Duke House. The experience was incredible: the service and hospitality, the quality of the ingredients, the flavour of the food. Our daughter stated that the onion soup was “perfecto” and we definitely agree.

Came in and took over 10 mins for a server to come over. The blonde young server was rude. Multiple people had to look at my ID to order a mimosa. After 30 mins of sitting, we finally got our tea, no food and still had not received the mimosas. The owner came over and inspected our ID’s, explained she could get fined, and made me smile to compare to the ID. At this point we have been there for 40 mins watching other people receiving food. Finally just told them I would pay for the tea and nothing else since i has yet to receive anything else. The server slammed the scones down she was preparing and said fine. I’ve been to multiple tea houses before but never been so disrespected. I would never spend another dime and suggest no one else does. The worst service I’ve received. Someone should teach them manners and etiquette. This tea house is trash.

Lovely place for a delicious lunch or dinner! I highly recommend the pecan tea!
